1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when creating an account, including your name, email address, phone number, and location. For parents, we also collect children's names and ages to match them with appropriate learning circles. For teachers, we collect qualifications, experience, and verification documents.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve our platform services
  • To match families with suitable learning circles and teachers
  • To process bookings and payments via Razorpay
  • To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, reminders)
  • To verify teacher identities and qualifications
  • To ensure safety and prevent fraud

3. Children's Privacy & Parental Consent

We take the privacy of children seriously. In compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), Section 9:

  • We process children's data only with verifiable parental/guardian consent
  • We only collect children's first names and ages as provided by their parent/guardian
  • Children's information is never shared publicly or with third parties except the teacher conducting the booked session
  • Only parents/guardians can manage their children's information through their account
  • We do not track, profile, or serve targeted advertising to children
  • Parents/guardians may withdraw consent and request deletion of their child's data at any time

4. Data Sharing

We share limited information with:

  • Teachers: Parent name, child name, and contact details for booked sessions only
  • Razorpay: Payment information for transaction processing
  • Supabase: Cloud database hosting (data stored securely)
  • Resend: Email delivery service for transactional emails

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure authentication via Supabase Auth, row-level security policies on our database, and CSRF protection on all mutation requests. Payment data is handled entirely by Razorpay and never stored on our servers.

6. Cookies and Analytics

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use analytics tools to understand how our platform is used. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

7. Your Rights Under DPDP Act, 2023

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), you have the following rights:

  • Right to Access: Request a summary of your personal data and processing activities
  • Right to Correction: Correct or update inaccurate personal data through account settings
  • Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for data processing at any time
  • Right to Grievance Redressal: File complaints with our Grievance Officer or the Data Protection Board of India
  • Right to Nominate: Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of incapacity

We will respond to data requests within 30 days. You can exercise these rights through your account settings or by contacting our Grievance Officer.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. Booking and payment records are retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax regulations. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is legally required.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

In accordance with the DPDP Act, 2023, we have appointed a Grievance Officer:

If you are unsatisfied with the resolution, you may file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India as established under the DPDP Act, 2023.
